About Felix Campano
I am the co-founder and CEO of Bob, a travel technology company whose ambition is to transform the way people travel around the world by providing an innovative, yet affordable service designed to liberate our travellers from burden of their luggage.
Previous to Bob I worked at Amadeus, where I was responsible for leading the commercial finance team that supports the new business portfolio, a unit that was born in 2012 from the belief that there was a huge hitherto untapped business opportunity for Amadeus beyond air.
We set our objectives on diversifying our business into airports, hospitality and rail, as well as other transversal areas such as, payments, mobile, and travel intelligence. By 2016, these new businesses engaged close to 2,000 employees internationally.
I began my career in investment banking, doing M&A transactions.
On a personal level, I share what Will Smith once said to a bunch of kids: “The key to life is reading and running”.
Why running? Because when you run there is a little person that talks to you, and that little person says: “I’m so tired, there is no way I can possibly continue” and you want to quit! Now, if you know how to defeat that person when you are running, you will know how to not quit when things get hard in your life.
And why reading? There have been millions and billions, and billions and gazillions of people that have lived before all of us. There is no new problem you can have that someone hasn't already solved and wrote about it in a book.
My family is my greatest motivation.
I love swimming, I did two challenges to raise funds to invest in the cure of leukaemia.
