Sobre Because International
Because International’s mission is to use products as solutions to alleviate poverty. Our first product was The Shoe That Grows, a shoe that expands five sizes and lasts for years. To date, over 350,000 pairs have gone to kids and families around the world and it’s being produced in Kenya—bringing jobs to one of the countries where The Shoe That Grows is distributed most.
Now we’re taking what we’ve learned from developing a manufactured product and sharing this knowledge with entrepreneurs who have their own ideas for innovative products. The Because Accelerator is a completely online program that helps entrepreneurs take their products to the next level through training, coaching, networking and funding. Since it started, the Because Accelerator has helped more than 60 entrepreneurs from around the world and connected them with hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding. We want to help local leaders create local jobs and elevate their communities.
