Sobre Eulalia Sanchez
I dedicate my career to improving the lives of people with visual impairments. As a professor at the Terrassa School of Optics and Optometry (UPC-FOOT), I specialized in low vision and accessibility, combining academic teaching with clinical assistance and research.
Over the years, I’ve developed educational resources, including “Low Vision: How Can I Start?” to train aspiring optometrists, and contributed to studies like “Web Accessibility for Visually Impaired People,” advocating for inclusivity in digital spaces. My role extends beyond academia—I’m the Chief Scientific Officer at Biel Glasses, where we create assistive technologies to empower individuals with visual challenges.
My passion for practical solutions led me to establish MoviLab, a clinical validation lab designed to assess mobility aids for patients with low vision. This initiative was the focus of my doctoral thesis, completed in 2022, and it underscores my commitment to translating research into real-world impact.
Currently, I’m seeking support to expand MoviLab’s capabilities, enhance its tools, and increase accessibility for patients globally. Together, we can advance visual health and independence for those who need it most.
Thank you for believing in this mission!
