Sobre Swiss Iraqi Business Association (SIBA)
The Swiss Iraqi Business Association (SIBA) is an independent, non-profit association based in Küsnacht, Zurich, Switzerland, established on 13 May 2025 to strengthen economic and commercial relations between Switzerland and Iraq. Founded by businesswoman Rasha Oudeh, who serves as President, alongside Iraqi attorney Muqdad Al-Juboori and Swiss attorney Maurice Choquard, SIBA provides a platform for companies, investors, professionals and institutions seeking meaningful bilateral cooperation.
SIBA promotes trade and investment, trusted business partnerships and private-sector collaboration, helping connect Swiss and Iraqi businesses with relevant networks, opportunities and expertise. The association supports dialogue around market entry for Swiss companies exploring Iraq, business matchmaking and introductions, bilateral investment opportunities, and access to knowledge about the commercial environments of both countries.
Its activities include business networking events, industry discussions, webinars, partnership development, membership engagement and sponsorship opportunities. SIBA also encourages knowledge and technology exchange, and cooperation in economic, financial, industrial, tourism and service-related initiatives.
Priority sectors include clean energy, environmental technologies, sustainable infrastructure and digital innovation. SIBA also engages with opportunities in healthcare, finance and banking, industry, manufacturing, and other sectors relevant to sustainable development and economic diversification.
By bringing together stakeholders from Switzerland and Iraq, SIBA aims to strengthen long-term private-sector relationships, support responsible investment and expand opportunities for mutually beneficial economic cooperation. Its vision is to build a strong and sustainable Swiss-Iraqi economic corridor.
