Sobre Sunkofa Energy
We are 5 co-founders, former executive from ENGIE and have decided to launch our company Sunkofa energy recently. Our objective is to provide access to electricity and services related to this access to the populations of sub-Saharan Africa not connected to the national network, and this via mini solar networks, while nearly 600 million Africans have so far no access to electricity. The digital dimension is essential to the project, our customers paying by mobile phone and our mini networks being monitored remotely.
Our team is very experienced on the subject of access to energy (Juan Garcia Montes, the CEO, has nearly 20 years of experience in this field), having already installed and operated mini solar networks in the past and complementary in terms of skills necessary for the deployment of this type of project (technical, legal, financial and commercial skills, knowledge of the target countries).
We aim to date mainly a deployment in West Africa (Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso).
Since our inception last November, we have already concluded a contract for the development of a mini network in Togo and have found a partner to apply for a call for projects in Benin that covers 40 mini networks (project for which we have obtained letters of interest from several funds)
