About Joan Salvatella
Joan founded Bookline, a startup based in Barcelona, recognized as a leader in Conversational AI in Catalonia and Spain. Serving over 1,000 companies, Bookline excels in automating customer service through advanced phone systems, catering to industries such as hospitality, travel and healthcare. As of now, Bookline has expanded its operations across 6 countries - Spain, Portugal, Germany, UK, USA and Andorra. The team has grown to more than 35 employees and has achieved a significant milestone by reaching $1 million in ARR.
While Bookline was still at an early stage, he worked at a German startup called 360dialog where he
lead a 4 person team focused on crafting integrations for the WhatsApp ecosystem. He continued in this capacity until Bookline's growth enabled it to sustain his salary, marking a seamless transition to dedicating his full attention to Bookline.
He previously worked at Accenture where he lead the development of virtual assistants integrated with robotic interfaces and participated in the digital transformation of IBEX35 call centers. He's had other experiences as an entrepreneur with the startups Milprofes and Reparable that did not survive.
