About Josep Cester
Josep Cester is the Founder and COO of Place to Plug, an startup offering a platform that connects Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers and hosts (individuals, businesses or institutions) offering a socket to charge EVs.
Josep has worked in several national and international companies, both as software engineer and as team leader. He has experience in managing teams in the private sector and also in innovation and tech transfer in the public administration. He has participated in several relevant projects during his 14 years of experience in the IT sector.
His passion is the electric mobility. As EV owner, he wants to make easier short vacations trips with EV and promote the use of EV everywhere. He is also interested in new economy models and is working as volunteer for a local sharing economy network.
Josep holds a degree in Computer Science from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (2005) and a Master in Artificial Intelligence (2012). Since Place to Plug was selected in the EcoEmprendedorXXI 2015 awards in Barcelona, he has been trained in business creation and acceleration skills.
