About Pablo Pomposiello Miravent
Pablo is a microbiologist, genetic engineer, teacher and biotech entrepreneur. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Ph.D. in Biology in 1997, and was a Research Fellow at Harvard University between 1997 and 2001. Pablo became a Professor at the Microbiology Department at the University of Massachusetts in 2001 and until 2009, when he moved to Spain. In Madrid, he worked as Chief Scientific Officer at Microbionta SL. In 2011, together with scientists at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB-CSIC), founded Bacmine SL, a biotech company that produces bacterial cell factories through synthetic biology. Pablo lives in Madrid.
