About Gnowit
Gnowit is a Canadian legislative and regulatory monitoring platform that helps organizations follow what governments are doing as it happens. Founded in Ottawa in 2010, it tracks public government data across federal, provincial and territorial legislatures, including bills, committee proceedings, Gazette publications and regulatory changes. It also covers agendas, transcripts and press releases from 300+ Canadian municipalities.
Instead of checking dozens of government websites one by one, users set up monitoring around the acts, topics and keywords that matter to them and choose who on their team receives each alert. New documents from government sources are captured close to real time, with access to the latest version of a bill or regulation, and alerts also cover new consultations and their deadlines. Through Parliamentary Live, teams can follow live transcripts of Canadian parliamentary proceedings.
Gnowit's customers are government relations teams, public affairs and lobbying firms, trade associations, law firms, nonprofits and policy professionals. What makes Gnowit special is that it was built around Canadian government sources, not adapted from a US platform. Federal, provincial, territorial and municipal coverage sits in one platform, and Gnowit's team sets up and adjusts monitoring projects as priorities change. Gnowit provides the data and the alerts, and interpretation stays with the people reading them.
