About Hills Mallets

Hills Mallets offers Australian Made Timpani Mallets for beginners to professionals. Hills Mallets was founded by Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Principal Timpanist Andrew Penrose in 2021 with a dedication to creating Australian made timpani mallets for the musicians of Australia. All mallets are made personally by Andrew at his home workshop in the Adelaide Hills. For Schools: Andrew has designed a set of timpani mallets for use by student percussionists. The Scholar Series includes 3 sets of mallets to meet the needs of primary school and high school students. For Professionals: Hand crafted with care, these mallets cover the full range of colour and articulation needed by professional players.
