KERIONICS is a Technological Base Company dedicated to the production of ceramic membranes modules and facilities for the separation of oxygen from the air. Its principal activity is the R&D in the field of chemical engineering and ceramic technology, as well as the later exploitation of its own developments.
Its technological knowledge is orientated to give response to needs of oxygen Intensive-consumption Industries which want to reduce the expense destined for the generation and / or supply of oxygen (companies of manufacture of Ceramic Frits, Glazes and Colour Industry, companies of Glass making, Metallurgy and Steel Industry, Refining and Petrochemistry, refineries of oil and gas, etc).
The mission of Kerionics’ products is to improve the energy efficiency, to intensify the industrial processes, to reduce the costs of the fuel (oxygen) and to improve client’s products and competitiveness.
KERIONICS arises from the need of exploitation of the scientific achievements obtained in the field of the ceramic advanced materials, which have been developed during more than 10 years in the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ). ITQ is a mixed worldwide research center of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the University Polytechnic of Valencia-Spain (UPV). Kerionics has received recently the stamp as Spin-Off UPV.
Kerionics development are being possible with the support of Repsol Foundation, H2020 SME Instrument phase 1 of European Union, Climate Kic Accelerator, 1st prize of II Grupo Dominguis for entrepreneurs in energy sector, Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness of Spain with Ayuda Torres Quevedo and Pyme Innovadora stamp, IVACE (Instituto Valenciano de la Competitividad) with Ayuda Preparación de propuestas para convocatorias H2020. And with two technological supporters: FERRO SPAIN and MACER.
