About The Hive

We are currently in the midst of one of the greatest scientific revolutions. Scientists across disciplines are pushing the boundaries every day and expanding their fields. As the fields expand scientists want to try new techniques and new approaches that have never been done. This requires collaboration. In the age of social media scientists are increasingly turning to a wider network to find answers and discover novel approaches. As researchers, we know how hard and time-consuming is to find other researchers to exchange ideas or to collaborate. Precisely because of it, we have create The Hive, a place to interact, and to easily find scientist and valuable information to boost your projects ever than before. The Hive is an online, open access portal where any scientist can search and find valuable knowledge, information and other researchers willing to collaborate. The Hive believes in collaboration and we think that international knowledge exchange is the only way to boost global scientific research and tackle some of the biggest issues in the world today. The Hives web portal is totally free for researchers, they will be able to use every feature in The Hive, like search any techniques they need, contact researchers every time they want, register the techniques they handle to offer help, look in the interactive map and use the instant messaging system. With our project we offer any researcher a broad and intelligent tool to create national or international collaborations, where you can specifically find and get in touch with any expert in techniques you need. As well you can register techniques you handle in your lab to be contacted by people looking for help or collaboration. The goal of The Hive is to create an open access platform, where any scientist can search and find valuable knowledge, information and researchers willing to collaborate. We believe in collaboration, we think that international knowledge exchange is the only way to boost global scientific research and tackle some of the biggest issues in the world today.
